Can You Hear the Birds?

Can you hear the birds?
By the windows they sing joyfully.
Among the trees they leap frolicly.
Why haven’t you heard them sing?
Have you lost your way?
They are silent, for the burden you carry.
Their songs were drowned by life's worries.
Can you hear the birds?
Don’t you hear them praising the Maker?
The Maker is pleased, for everything He made was good.
Why have you no song in your heart?
The songs of the birds are given.
To bless those the Maker has chosen.
Do you hear the birds?
Indeed I do!
The Lord has lifted the veil.
Jubilee has come.
The land and the people rest. 
Rest my soul, Oh tired soul.
Perk up your ears and hear.
Open your eyes and see.
Are those only birds?  
No, they are God’s treasures.
We are precious beyond measure.
In God, I am a jewel into making.
Polished and shine like no other.
The Potter works; His craftsmanship is perfect.
Glorious is His work.
Can you hear the birds?
Yes, I can!  
The veil is lifted.  Jubilee has come.
I am blessed, for the Maker is here.
To show me the way.
To restore my soul.
I can hear the birds.
The songs of heaven.
